Gaming and Casino Management Concentration
Students acquire a complete, global overview of the casino and gaming industry, from marketing to management, with an in-depth examination of trends, policies, and impacts on gaming operations. Students learn about the strategic use of technology and computer information systems in the casino industry. Coursework includes structured decision-making in the acquisition of technology as well as the analysis of financial results of casino programs and products, strategic issues in casino security, and an exploration of the unique operational aspects of tribal casino management.
Global Tourism Concentration
Students acquire a complete perspective of the global destination and resort industry from management to marketing that includes strategic planning and competitive analysis of domestic and international resort destinations. Coursework includes the economics and social dynamics that influence tourism. Students examine limits to mass tourism and study alternatives such as eco-tourism as well as how environmental changes affect tourism.
