SMT Professor Presents Research at the EASM Conference in Prague, September 18, 2010

Dr. Douglas Michele Turco of the Sport Management program recently co-authored two presentations at the European Association for Sport Management (EASM) Conference on September 18, 2010 in Prague, Czech Republic.

The first presentation titled “Resident, local business, and international visitor perceptions of the nation-branding impact of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ ” was a collaboration with Brendon Knott, Kamilla Swart, and Urmilla Bob. The presentation titled “Taipei residents’ perceptions of social impacts from the 2009 Summer Deaflympic Games” was co-authored with Chin-hsung Kao and Chang Yang Wu.

The European Association for Sport Management (EASM) was established in 1993 as an independent association of people involved or interested in the management of sport in the broadest sense. EASM membership is composed of academics and professionals from the public, voluntary and commercial sectors. Members of EASM come from nearly 40 different countries and from every continent.
