Goodwin College Student Activities Student Engagement Lecture Series presents Philip Beauchemin, who has worked extensively with kids from some of Philadelphia’s underserved neighborhoods.

He will discuss how to engage students through courage and creativity while giving weight to the importance of characteristics such as passion, compassion and thoughtfulness; all traits that would greatly benefit young, aspiring teachers and the children they would be in a position to influence. He will also talk about the efficacy of engagement in coaching from both an athletic and academic viewpoint. The lecture will last for approximately 30 to 40 minutes to be followed by 30 minutes of Q & A from both the in house and online audiences.

The lecture will be held Seminar Room - 3001 Market Street, One Drexel Plaza, Ste. 100, Philadelphia, PA 19104, Monday March 7, 2011 at 4:30 pm. Goodwin full time, undergraduate education and sport management students will be admitted free with Drexel ID. Food and drinks will be provided, and anyone turning in a post-lecture evaluation will be entered into a drawing for 2 Phillies tickets.
