Engineering Technology Faculty Awarded National Science Foundation Grant

(PHILADELPHIA—Dec. 5, 2011)—The National Science Foundation awarded a grant to three faculty members of Goodwin College’s Engineering Technology program. Drs. Radian Belu, assistant professor; Yalcin Ertekin, associate clinical professor; and Irina Ciobanescu-Husanu, associate clinical professor, received the $200,000 grant for their project titled "Integrating High Speed Computer Numerical Control Machining Simulator, Precision Metrology and Machine Tool Calibration and Simulation Systems into Engineering Technology Curricula.”

The grant is effective January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2013.
