Orlando Sentinal publishes Sport Management instructor’s op-ed on conference expansion, June 7, 2010

In her June 7 op-ed titled “Expansion a worry to schools like UCF,” Dr. Karen Weaver, an adjunct instructor for Goodwin College’s Sport Management program, discusses concerns regarding the potential expansion of larger athletic conferences to include mid-major teams. Dr. Weaver is currently serves as the director of athletics at Penn State-Abington and boasts a long career in athletics administration and coaching. Her doctoral dissertation examined the Big Ten Network's rise to prominence.
