Hospitality Management alumna Celina Tio will compete on the third season of Bravo’s Top Chef Masters. The third season of the hit show airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m.
Tio is the chef-owner of JULIAN, in Kansas City, Mo., where the focus is on upscale local, seasonal food. Celina’s career includes head chef of The American Restaurant, also in Kansas City; launching three specialty restaurants (Spoodle, Palo, and Citricos) for Walt Disney World in Orlando,Fla.; and chef of the Grill Room in Philadelphia’s Ritz-Carlton.
Tio has earned national recognition for her innovative, approachable cooking. She received the prestigious honor of “Best Chef: Midwest” from the James Beard Foundation in 2007. She was named Chef of the Year by "Chef" magazine and “Kansas City Magazine."
