Goodwin College Inducted Into Blackboard Hall of Fame for Excellence in Collaboration

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (July 14, 2011) - Goodwin College received the prestigious honor of being inducted into the Blackboard Hall of Fame for Excellence in Collaboration. Goodwin was one of only six institutions inducted into the Class of 2011. A division of The Wimba Hall of Fame, the organization celebrates educators around the world who have shown exemplary innovation and creativity in their use of the Wimba Collaboration Suite.

The induction was held during the Connections Summit 2011 in Las Vegas from July 11-13. Dean William Lynch traveled to the summit to accept the award and represent Goodwin at the induction ceremony.

Induction criteria is based on several categories, including an institution’s ability to use Blackboard Collaborate to improve student outcomes; introduce global collaboration; attract and retain new students; increase retention rates; assess the quality and impact of Wimba within a course; and encourage sustainability initiatives, among others.
