Drexel University has long been known for its leadership role in creating technological solutions to the complex challenges faced by modern industry and society. This reputation reflects not only the accomplishments of faculty and leadership in the past, but more importantly, the University's holistic vision for the future. In particular, Drexel is committed to "use-inspired" research in response to opportunities for technological development.
Goodwin College shares this commitment through our engagement in research in the areas of technology and education. We focus on the scholarship of discovery, defined as inquiry that produces the disciplinary and professional knowledge that is at the very heart of academic pursuits1. This type of research takes the form of methodological studies and analysis, and builds a solid foundation that allows us to apply our findings to solve problems throughout our community and the world.
