The School of Education (SoE) strives to meet the professional needs and career objectives of those who are currently working in the field, or who wish to pursue a career as teachers, faculty, education administrators, and staff at all levels of education. Through challenging coursework taught by experienced faculty, students are exposed to current research and trends on teaching and administration including the latest developments in pedagogy and instructional technology.
In the Drexel University tradition, practical education guides the development of curriculum and student experience. You will emerge with a powerful credential from Drexel, one in which theory from the classroom merges seamlessly with solid experiential learning.
The School of Education’s undergraduate programs are designed for individuals who are interested in becoming certified teachers at the pre-school, elementary, middle, and secondary levels.
Drexel University's Education program is unique in that it is the only one in the nation that includes a co-op experience directly related to your major area of certification. In addition to the 12-week student teaching experience required for certification, School of Education students participate in diverse field experiences to prepare them for a career in teaching.
The School of Education continues to explore new opportunities for graduate programs and for collaboration and partnership with the education community to provide additional opportunities to students who wish to make a difference in the rapidly expanding and diverse field of education.
