Undergraduate Programs in Education

The School of Education’s undergraduate programs are designed for individuals who are interested in becoming certified teachers at the pre-school, elementary, middle, and secondary levels. Students receive training in the most updated trends in theory, instruction, and technology in the classroom and then are provided opportunities for observation and practice in the form of relevant field experiences.

Our full-time program is unique in that, in addition to the 12-week student teaching experience required for certification, it is the only teacher certification undergraduate degree program in the nation that includes a co-op experience directly related to your major area of certification.

Most importantly, you will work one-on-one with an academic advisor who will assist in charting out a plan of study to specifically address your teaching objectives.

The result: you will become a well-rounded, knowledgeable educator prepared to assume the instructional opportunities and challenges of today’s classroom.
