(PHILADELPHIA—January 8, 2013)—The School of Education is pleased to announce that they are now offering courses in Pottstown, Pa. Courses are held at The University Center at Montgomery County Community College.
This strategic location was selected to make a Drexel education more accessible to students in Pottstown, the western Philadelphia suburbs, and areas of Montgomery, Delaware, and Chester Counties. Students can now enjoy the convenience of location with the rigorous academic led by world-class faculty for which Drexel University is renowned.
The Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Management is offered in a blended format in Pottstown that combines online and on-campus classes. Students may choose a concentration of Educational Administration, Educational Policy, Higher Education, Human Resource Development, Special Education Leadership, and Athletic Administration.
Graduate students may also enroll in the Master of Science in Learning Technologies at Pottstown. This program prepares graduates to employ skills based on the vast differences in the way people interface with new technology. Concentrations include Instructional Design, Instructional Technologies Specialist, Learning in Game-Based Environments, and E-Learning Leadership.
Another graduate-level option available at Pottstown is the Master of Science in Education Improvement and Transformation program. This program is structured around Professional Development Concentration Sets on topics that are timely, appropriate and immediately applicable to today’s educator: Creativity & Innovation, Educational Policy, Evaluation & Assessment, Leadership in Educational Settings, Learning Technologies, and Urban Education. The Concentration Sets are also offered as Professional Development Certificates, which allow students to apply credits earned in the certificate program toward the master’s degree.
